John Phelan: About Minnesota in those stop states for business rankings … When CNBC announced recently that they had ranked Minnesota fifth on their annual “America’s Top States for Business” ranking, the state’s media went wild. No less excited were our state’s political leaders, who have since been citing this and another CNBC ranking of fourth for “States to live and work in” as though they are incontrovertible facts. A closer look at these rankings suggests that the champagne should go back on ice.Any ranking of “America’s Top States for Business” ought to be somewhat correlated with business activity in the states. Oxy-Generation: Trash punks look to shake shit up

Oxy-Generation: Trash punks look to shake shit up Oxy-Generation: Despite ongoing reports to the contrary, rock ‘n’ roll doesn’t need saving. Music isn’t pie, cut into genre slices. Rather, people are capable of enjoying more than one thing. Certain genres might enjoy their time in the spotlight, but those things are cyclical. With all of that said though, it is nice when a band comes along and shakes things up a bit, and the Oxys are doing just that (whether they know it or not). The Austin punk troupe released their debut album A Date With the Oxys last year, and have already dropped the sophomore effort, Generation Irrelevant. No rest for the wicked.Dedicated Punks will already be familiar with guitarist Jason “Ginchy” Kottwitz – he was a member of a recent incarnation of the Dead Boys, led by Cheetah Chrome, that played a string of strong shows in these parts.“Tumultuous and fun would be a great description of that,” Ginchy says. “I had a blast doing it. It was a great time. I had already been playing all those songs with Cheeta...

What To Know About HHC vs. Delta-8 THC

What To Know About HHC vs. Delta-8 THC In the hemp THC industry, delta-8 is the clear winner. As it stands today, it’s unlikely any cannabinoid in this niche market will unseat delta-8’s top position. Indeed, delta-8 has become so mainstream that many states are struggling to regulate it.Although delta-8 THC is wildly popular, dozens of other THC-related molecules have generated some buzz online. For instance, HHC has begun filtering into many reputable hemp shops. Typically available in e-juices, HHC seems to offer a slightly different experience than delta-8 products. Before jumping into the “HHC hype,” customers should consider how HHC differs from the more established delta-8 THC.How Does HHC Compare With Delta-8 THC?The first thing to understand about HHC is that it’s not a natural cannabinoid. Unlike delta-8 THC, you can’t find HHC molecules in a hemp plant. Instead, researchers had to create HHC in a lab by adding hydrogen atoms to delta-9 THC.Interestingly, American scientists may have created HHC as far back as ...

27 Donald Trump election lies listed in his Georgia indictment By Daniel Dale | CNNWashington  — A Georgia indictment of former President Donald Trump for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election lists at least 27 lies Trump told about the election – and that’s counting conservatively. The new indictment, handed up Monday by a grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia, is the second indictment this month to function as a kind of prosecutorial fact check of the former president’s relentless campaign of election-related dishonesty. A federal indictment in early August, which also charged Trump for his efforts to subvert the will of the voters, listed 21 of his election lies. There is significant overlap between the lies identified in the two indictments, but the Fulton County document lays out more of his false claims about Georgia in particular. Trump uttered many of those claims during a January 2, 2021 phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in which he pressured Raffensperger to “find” enough votes to give him a victory in the...
